This is a super awesome little blog about ways to use sour RAW milk. I am putting RAW in caps because this is NOT for the pasteurized milk. When that sours, throw it out. Anyway, pretty cool stuff.

nice suggestions, thanks for posting....I just last night strained off a gallon of RAW clabbered goat milk that I had left out for four days at room temperature after buying it fresh from the goat. I'm stocking up on whey for summer lacto-fermintations...the whey will keep weeks in the refrigerator. The creme cheese part came our wonderful and I have been putting it on everything I eat today....it will last for a month refrigerated but won't make it that long here

Oh wow you just made me hungry. I love cream cheese. I just am about to harvest some alfalfa sprouts which I will put on sandwiches with cream cheese and hummus and other veggies!

ha,ha,ha....one of the things I had with creme cheese today was some homemade hummus! no sprouts around but I had a batch of cooked lambsquarters on the side and some sauted onion and chanterelle mushrooms. summertime food...oh, so good
I love alfalfa sprouts with creme cheese, are you having good luck sprouting them?

Yes indeed! It's my first time doing it but they are turning out great. I did alfalfa, mung bean, fenugreek, and another little patch of "sandwhich mix" sprouts.

Cassie said that when pasteurized milk sours, throw it out. Not on my farm! I'm learning to survive on a small homestead farm, so nothing goes to waste if I can help it.

Sour pasteurized milk around my farm can be.....
...fed to the dogs
...mixed in the chicken feed
...added to the pig feed
...added to the foliar spray for the veggie garden
...added to the compost or dug directly into the garden.

I almost never have soured milk, but I've had neighbors drop off partial gallons of milk that has turned. They know that I can put it to use.

Yeah that is true! I shouldn't have said that. I just meant humans probably can't do anything with it for themselves, like you can with raw milk. You are right, I should have specified that though!
