So, I'm going to be making
beef jerky. It is supposed to keep at room temperature for 2 months. If I store it in the freezer for a few months, and then take it out, it
should still store for two months at room temperature, right?
The reason I ask is that my goal is to have a backup, nonperishable food supply if the power fails. So once the power failed, the jerky would come out of the freezer. I would be careful to open it only after it had thoroughly warmed up, so that
water does not condense on it.
