I read one
straw revolution by masanobu
fukuoka multiple times, and now that its spring i really wanted to make seedballs to throw everywhere on abbandoned fields, the wild and in my garden.
However i never seen powdered clay being sold, so i thought about it, and i remembered that i had some cement, i immediately got out to test it. I grabbed a
bucket putted some wheat seeds in it, a little
water and some cement, and i turned the bucket around like a cement mixer, adding little bit water and cement to make the balls, you have to be careful not to add to much water.
Cement is made out of 3/4 calcium, and 1/4 clay.
i created the seedballs, and i threw some out to see if the birds will eat them, and the seem to ignore the seedballs, so thats good.
Maybe adding some
native soil, or
compost would be a good idea?
