Very neat video by Bret Weinstein, an evolutionary biologist.

He explains how plants are experts in creative chemistry and experiment with all sorts of chemical components to attract/repel the animals in their environment. Since those chemicals are intended to have a direct effect on animals biologically some turn out to be very effective medicinally.

Very interesting indeed. I have this theory/fantasy that people that didn’t react to plants as medicine had a lower chance of surviving disease and therefore procreate. Since there was not a lot else then plant medicine and witchdocters it helpef being receptive. Receptive people became the larger part of humanity. Suggestion is very important stress relieve. Attention for the problem, massage, reiki, private rituals. Everything can help. I love growing herbs and finding ways of using them. We’ve evolved around them, they evolved around us.
