Thank you.
Been coming to think I'll go with a remote waterless system.
The heat strips are an idea to definitely consider.

Does anyone have any personal experience with lowflo or dry, 4 season composting toilets on the East Coast?

I am building a small (tiny house) of Superadobe next year and the toilet is at or on top of the list now. The woodstove heat is second The toilet system size will dictate much.

I am looking at 12vDC only.
1-2 people typical
Low maintenance
NOT DIY
Value for my dollar. One of the few things I am not against investing into.

If you have any comments, please share! Thank you permies.

So how has the adventure progressed in the past 15 months? Planted trees or harvested any tasty veggies this year?

Hi J. Try the caretaker gazette for paid opportunities. It's global but a lot of posts for the NW.

Hi Kate. Did you just move back there from Moncton a couple years ago?

Hey man. Any suggestion is a good one. Its just what's done with it.

That being said, tonight, I'll reread through the blog again.

Now that I have realistic build parameters, I find I'm rediscovering new things about previously dismissed views or methods.

You've been added. Hope the page answers a few of your questions.

Currently(subject to change) I'm leaning toward eaves and straw bale insulation above grade. Exterior finish undecided. Ideally, it'll be 1/4 to 1/3 bermed minimum. Freeze thaw cycles and precipitation are definite concerns considering climatic conditions.

Most likely 4 season with straw bale insulation above grade. Still in design consultation process. I'll have complete drawings for mid autumn at latest(I'm an arch. draftsman. Keep the questions coming. Will have the facebook page up soon.

I am building an earthbag dome next summer, here in New Brunswick the summer of 2015.
The question is whether there's enough interest for superadobe workshops and or a permaculture certification course.
I am bringing in 1 or maybe 2 friends who are Cal-Earth alumni with 20 years experience.
We are still hammering out dates and all that jazz.

IF this interests you, please moose me! Thanks all.
