I would love to Move either to Montana or Colorado, Love the Mountain scenery. I have skills in construction, gardening,fishing. Don't get me wrong I do know at the most, I know very little. I definitely want to learn to be off the grid and self sufficient. Learning how to collect water, hunt and trap as well as taking care of my own live stock and gardening. I know I am missing a bunch. Learning is going to be the easy part, getting the funds to get it off the ground....Thats a whole nother story. Have to start putting my money to work for me FAST.

Wow that took me a minute to locate the right place to put this topic.

So I was born in Cleveland, Ohio...Have always lived in big cities. Have bounced from job to job and lived paycheck to paycheck. I am currently 46 years old and I know in all reality, if I do not make a change I will have to work till the day I die. I am so encouraged by others stories that there is hope. I believe that leaving it all behind and going off grid is the only option for me. Jeez... reading this it sounds like its not something I want to do, but in honesty it is something I have always wanted to do. So I stumbled a crossed this site Via Pauls Youtube and decided to get my education here. Any advice on where the best place to go to learn (sub-forums here) would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to learning from ya'll and setting a goal date to get out of Kansas and hit the hills.
