Well everyone, looks like the compost is safe!  I have very healthy tomato plants, carrots, cucumbers etc!

Didnt realize how big these cherry tomatoes would get!

What a relief!

The 2 boxes to the left are not getting as much sun as I'd like so will have to move those for next year.

The empty box was the ones i had issues with. I plant too much in the shallow box. It had lettuce.  I added some more compost and organic fertilizer, and have second batch of spices coming!

That is giant caesar lettuce. Starting to see some flower but I was picturing it to be just a little more contained in the middle, not like romaine, just a little, and somewhat more hearty/crunchy looking.  Did they not get good nutrients?  How do they look?

Thanks

Thing is , they are from the same batch of salad greens.  Thinking i should just pull and plant something else. Hmmm

Hmmmm, i placed branches in front of the 2 rols and still no improvements. I also watered with fish fertilizer. Grrrrr.

I added the fish fertilizer on top, mixed water, then I sprinkled over top. I didnt mix in since it was before I bought fertilizer, thinking all is good. Also added lime on top. Pelletized

So may need some shade. I will make a little wall lime the front

Thanks!

Hi,

This is the first raised bed i planted with seeds. All lettuce on perimeter , row of spinache, and cilantro and i think basil.  This one has no compost but i spread homegrown organic fertilizer 4-6-3, espina blood meal 12-0-0, and alaska fish fertilizer 5-1-1.  In the beginning i noticed the water pooled at the front where the bigger growth is. I did some leveling hoping thats the case with the uneven growth.  What do you guys think?

Hi,

We have a very old and delapadayed wooden step ladder found on the property. All the hardware is there but the wood needs to be replaced.  Do they sell wooden ladder wood parts anywhere?

I like the uniqueness of it.
