Here's my experience with Chaga during pregnancy. I just gave birth to a healthy baby naturally at home a couple weeks ago. My partner and I were living in the mountains up in New Hampshire and happened to find a lot of chaga. We weren't trying to conceive, however we are young and healthy. We drank chaga tea everyday from the mushrooms we foraged in the woods. To our surprise, I got pregnant .. pull out method doesn't always work. I think us both drinking chaga may have contributed to increased fertility and conception, she's a chaga baby. During the first trimester I had absolutely no interest in drinking chaga, my morning sickness was really bad and all of a sudden I just didn't want anything to do with it. Interesting to note, because before becoming pregnant I loved the taste. Later in the pregnancy as my morning sickness faded I enjoyed drinking Chaga again and now I'm drinking it while breastfeeding. Then it crossed my mind when researching herbs to avoid while breastfeeding, is chaga is safe to drink? Of course there's no "research" to determine whether or not it is safe and thus better to avoid consumption. Hmmmm I'm not convinced and think it could actually be incredibly beneficial and enhance nutrition to baby. Is anyone else drinking chaga while nursing
? I'm sure its fine, why wouldn't it be?
