I’ve had fibro for 30 years now. I agree I do best when my approach is holistic and considers all parts of me. These things always help, even if they hurt to start:
- as many fruits and vegetables as possible
- no dairy or sugar
- little to no grain and if any, only whole organic
- walk outside. A lot. 15-20 miles/week goal.
- emotional work: affirmations, tapping, essential oils, massage, breathwork, releasing, etc.
- sulfur
- view symptoms as my body communicating what it needs. Listen to it.

It’s a journey. Some days are great. Some not so great. Always smile over the positive even while you acknowledge the less than ideal. Tomorrow will be a new day.

I have yet to find what is too many for either, like many people they all get used. If I had to pick, which I won’t, I would say tomatoes - they make so many meals. Apples are extras for us - sauce, pie, chutney, dried - not the main meal but the happy extras.

Like some others, I have health challenges and it makes it hard to know when I will have energy. So I’m working on doing a little bit every day this winter, so next growing season is more relaxing. Summer heat is not my friend so it’s important to plan(t) ahead . Today our joy was adding two butterfly bushes to our hedgerow and filling the coops with leaves from the neighbor. Poco a poco.

Hmmm… if I start over, I have to buy another seed packet of butternuts, so I’ll stick them in the greenhouse for the winter and when I plant them, give them an anti-squirrel cage and hope for the best. And if that doesn’t succeed, start over.

Thank you all!

So I put 5 butternuts in pots to get sprout in spring, but 3 sprouted right away prior to cold scarification. Should I leave them out exposed to my zone 8 winter? Put them in the unheated greenhouse? Or maybe even move them into the storage room where it will stay above 55 F and has a large plant light set up?

I’m not sure if they will get killed by the cold since they sprouted out of season.
