This is a badge bit (
BB) that is part of the
PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the
wood badge in
Plumbing.
In this Badge Bit, you will "rough plumb" a small structure like a cabin or tiny house. Rough plumbing is all the work you do before the walls are finished or insulation is installed. It's running pipes, installing valves and setting up DWV (drain, waste, vent) piping.
Here's a tutorial for how it could be done for a bathroom:
Need to get at least 8 points to get this BB
- ½ point per hot supply spot, cold supply spot, drain point and p-trap
- 1 point per vent outlet
- 1 point per 100’ of pex
- 1 point per 30’ of copper
- 1 point per 10’ of DWV piping
- 1 point per
water heater,
water softener,
shower valve or other built in appliance/fixture
- 1 point per toilet flange
To show you've completed this Badge Bit, provide proof of the following as pics or
video (less than two minutes):
- the structure before you start work
- several times of the construction underway
- ample evidence that you did the work 100% by yourself
- finished views showing anything for which you want points counted
- summary of the points you feel you earned
