Hey you all, I´d like to open a topic of discussion, rather connection for the people of western NC. I´m in Transylvania County and I see the beauty of the landscape and people here who are pacticing the ways of old and stewarding the land well. Id love to open up an introduction and I suppose a list for people to connect to each other - Feel free to reply with who you are and what skills you offer as well as crops you grow or the animals you´re raising if youre near Western NC. Lets say within a few hours (2-3)

I'll introduce myself first, Im Lauren, a 28 year old with a passion for regenerating the land and stewarding it well. I am currently WWOOFing for the 5th(?) time in my life, this time with my future husband! We make quite the team, but this post isn´t about us this time! Rather me for now, I am skillful in many crafts like pottery, bookbinding and basketry. I enjoy gardening with permaculture practices, trying to recreate the garden of eden some may say I operate a one-woman soap and herbal wellness business making salves and non-toxic goods while selling locally and among friends. The place I am currently work-trading for is a small dairy farm with organic gardening and chickens in the mix. We hand milk and make a bunch of dairy products to sell and consume ourselves. This is not my own farm but it's been quite the experience of living on a piece of land that truly requires you to work it in order to eat and keep warm. We have been foraging seasonally and it's been amazing to learn so much and connect with the land. I can offer my helping hands if youre local or offer a trade if you have any goods you´d want to trade any of my products for. Here is my catalog if it's of interest! Back to Eden Wellness

I´m aspiring to make more connections and dive into how we can all live a little more harmoniously, helping each other out in ways where many hands make light work and making life a little more supported through great community. Looking forward to connecting!

keep an eye out for scorpions and black widows. But the tiny ads are safe.
