Learn to prune your fruit tree for bountiful and delicious harvests.

--Saturday, Oct. 8; 10 a.m.-noon
--Seattle Tilth’s Learning Garden at the Good Shepherd Center; 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N.,
Seattle, WA 98103

Learn the basics of healthy fruit tree pruning hands-on! We will cover how, when, and where to thin branches, remove deadwood, and deal with water shoots. We will also discuss how pruning can increase fruit production and sculpt your trees for health, beauty, and long life. Whether you’re starting a young tree or fixing old pruning errors, this class will help you guide your fruit trees into graceful, healthy, fruit laden works of art. This class will be outdoors with a significant hands-on component. Please dress for the weather and messy garden soil!

COST: $36 or $25 for Seattle Tilth members. Advanced registration and payment are required.

Will there be another pruning class coming up anytime soon? I would really like to learn how to prune seeing as I have 3 fruit trees. I don't have any $$ right now though, so I can't do it in October.
