How often do you Podcast?

Hi Paul. I am jones ing for a podcast. I think I have made it through 90% of them and keep checking everyday for a new one.
I am sure you are spending lots of time at the Laboratory and it must be hard to get away to podcast.

Keep up the awesome work and I wish I was there living the permie life !

Jim,

lately Paul has not been able to record much podcasts. I would have had troubles processing them in timely fashion anyways.

I know he wants to do one on residual income streams and a series on Sepp Holzer's new book. Not sure when he will get around to do this.

I was wondering this too! I'm stuck in a cubicle 8 hours a day, and can't get enough podcasts. I definitely understand Paul being very busy, though. Building an empire is hard work!

He was on Tall Paul's podcast last week, they had a very interesting discussion on community.

I have bitten off more than I can chew. Far more than I can chew.

I need to spend ten times more time promoting the new kickstarter.

I need to spend ten times more time promoting the rocket mass heater dvds.

I need to spend ten times more time doing stuff on the laboratory.

I need to spend ten times more time promoting the workshops that are coming up in october.

I need to spend ten times more time on three projects that are not out yet.

I need to spend ten times more time building relationships with similar web sites.

I need to spend ten times more time on the shippable core project.

I need to spend ten times more time answering emails piling up in my inbox.

I need to spend ten times more time answering questions in the forum.

I need to spend ten times more time putting out the videos for which I already have excellent raw footage.

The podcasts have taken a backseat to a lot of things. I guess I always thought the podcasts would go out as often as I felt like making them. Plus it seems the podcasts are plagued with problems. Double plus: since I require people to listen to the podcasts before coming to the land, I worry about making too many.

Part of being successful is knowing when to cut your losses.

To be blunt, you make much better videos than podcasts (purely based on production quality, not content). They are easier to monetize, if you want. They get more traffic, which means they infect more new people.

Maybe you can squeeze in a pseudo-regular interview with Jack or Tall Paul or whoever successful podcaster that is sort-of permie but expands the audience. They deal with the technical junk and you still infect more people.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! And this tiny ad too!
