What does Presenting entail? Do we need to purchase tickets? I'd love the opportunity to learn from you live & in person & would be happy to show you my BSF Grub cannon that is working quite nicely (it would fit in the back seat of my car).
I will give a two hour presentation for $1.00 provided that there are 50 or more people in the audience. If there are less than 50 people, I expect to be paid $200.
This assumes that it is something where I am already in the area - so there would be no travel expenses.
I know there are lots of people that say "there is no way to know how many people will show up and I cannot afford $200." Then don't ask me to come.
Two hours of my time spent on permies/richsoil will reach more than a thousand people more than going to a presentation. I like to present to large audiences, so I'm glad to do it. But on more than one occassion I was persuaded to come present to a group of 80, only to arrive to a group of eight and be told "oh, yeah, I never got around to telling people about the presentation. Sorry about that." or "I knew if I told you there would be only eight of us, then you wouldn't come, and I really wanted to hear you speak. So I told you there were 80 of us. Sorry about that."
The tillamook thing appears to be getting moved to mid-august. More news as events warrant.
Tel: I do not have deadlines for making plans. Some of my best video footage came from somebody saying: "hey, you know what would be cool?" and then we pop out to something awesome.
Ms: grub cannon? That sounds video worthy!
Brice: how far from I-5 are you? Do you have stuff that could make good video? A cuppa coffee? What - no super awesome organic meal? And I loathe PMs - I far prefer email.

I'm 15 minutes from th I5, but can save more time than that coming by my way instead of using the freeway loop in Portland and the I-5 bridge if you are coming or going from northwest Portland or the western suburbs and the drive on the 30 is a lot more scenic than the same stretch on the 5 (they run mostly parallel on opposite sides of the Columbia till long view WA)
only thing I can think of for a video if I knew in advance you were coming by I could introduce my little Nigerian dwarf dairy goats and schedule a hoof trimming which is vital maintenance in most goat herds and kinda scary till you see how simple it is.
if its close to a meal time I'm always happy to offer a friend whatever I'm eating but as of yet its seldom anything amazing, good coffee though I always have.
oh and of course fell free to use email instead of pm's
I'm interested! And 45 minutes (by motorized vehicle) SW of Portland, OR. I'll see what I can do to stir up at least 50 people. Mid-August = hot and dry; so you'll be presenting outdoors and in the shade?
What is IT that you present? What should people expect? Can you do your presentation in a wooded area? Or do you need laser beams and microphones?
I am too far north but wanted to say thank you for one of the most inspiring forums on the internet. My life seems to be shaped by what I learn here, so thank you! Lisa
I live between the coast and portland 44 miles from seaside off of 26. I have several things that might be of interest for paul for filming. I have two interconnected geodiosic dome greenhouse. I am building a walk in cooler should have it completed by august. Lots of chicken house in fields etc.
I am also interested in a assisting in organizing a seminar in portland i have space in beaverton I could use
