Learn how to tackle pest and disease problems in the garden organically.
 Saturday, Aug. 13; 2-4 p.m.
 Seattle Tilth’s Learning Garden at the Good Shepherd Center; 4649 Sunnyside Ave. N., Seattle, WA  98103
Now that your garden is growing, all you have to do is sit back and watch, right? But hey, who’s eating holes in your broccoli and what are those spots doing on the tomato plant? In this outdoor class, you’ll meet face-to-face with the most common garden pests and diseases and learn to control them organically through smart gardening techniques. We’ll learn about attracting beneficial organisms to the garden and how to prevent unhealthy conditions where diseases thrive. You’ll leave with the confidence and resources needed to tackle almost any future garden problem. This class will be outdoors with hands-on activities. Please dress for the weather and messy garden soil.
COST: $36 or $25 for Seattle Tilth members.  Advance registration and payment are required.
