And fire breaks are pointless against our ember storms.

Hence the need for site-specific advice and the danger of generic recommendations.

Oaks!

Read David Holmgren's "flywire house". Short and excellent book on designing a property in high fire risk areas.

Your fears are correct - heavily fertilised water to sustain an out of proportion fish:growbed ratio will be harmful to the fish ... at some point.

How about multiple systems? An aquaponics system properly stocked, and a hydro system?

You hinted at a possible solution in your question - your raised beds keep out predators. Sunken beds may be a better fit for you. They'll absorb rainfall and allow easy lizard access.

Yes! Im a big fan of FPE. I only add LAB if I intend to store it. Every tree that flowers in spring gets feed of fermented Camellia flowers. Approx 4:1 water to chopped flowers, ferment for a couple weeks until it gets the right smell, then strain, dilute and apply. The Camellia are great in that they're one of the earliest flowers in my garden.

I did similar, ripped a single contour line and planted with eucalyptus and acacia. Doing great so far, probably better than those planted traditionally at the same time. You can use a ripper with pipe layer on a small tractor - have a length of pipe in the pipe layer, feed seeds down it as you rip. Job done in one pass.

At what level of the soil profile do your berries feed? Don't plant competition.

What nutrients do berries need? What dynamic accumulators can assist these needs?

What canopy level do berries occupy? Fill the other layers.

What pests attack berries? What plants will and sustain predators for these pests?

I'm in central Victoria, black claypan country. You'll be fine, but keep your swales filled over spring and summerto reduce cracking. Or, push seeds into the cracks like I have.

T5 fluros, 6400k light temp. LED is full of snake oil salesman, unless you know the science you'll get had. I use LED, but I designed and built the lights.

Taranaki farm in Victoria, Australia is running a portable dairy that moves with the cows daily. When I was there a couple months back I believe they had 8 cows on once per day milking.
