a commercial vacuum sealer is your best bet

Ok never knew anyone but my mom who did this but make grits put them in a bread pan over night then fry them in the morning bacon grease -lovely

I have a very old orchard up the hill the trees have been blown over but still attached to the roots and most years they are loaded

With a post pounding tool you can put the tool on top of the post, then stand it up and start pounding no need to start the post
