Hi folks,

We're working on a first-of-its-kind permaculture & regenerative agriculture textbook that blends standard textbook style with immersive virtual farm learning experiences. You can view the full proposal here- https://www.edgeperma.com/farmdesign

Think: Detailed farm maps and writing meet 3D farm models, 360° virtual farm tours of some of the most inspiring permaculture sites across North America (to start.)

Here is a quick video that highlights our strategies.

Our goal is to revolutionize how permaculture design is taught in schools, on farms, and online. We’re co-leading this effort through Edge Perma in collaboration with educators, farmers, and researchers from academic institutions throughout the continent.

We're looking for:
-Partner farms to feature as case studies
-Funders and sponsors aligned with regenerative education
-Educators and students who want to help shape this book
-Publishers or academic institutions interested in distribution

If you're passionate about accessible permaculture education and empowering the next generation of land stewards, we’d love to hear from you.

You can learn more and connect with us here: https://www.edgeperma.com/farmdesign

With gratitude,

Andrew Tuttle & Mary Marshall

Please check out this Kickstarter and consider sharing or backing our project. We appreciate all of your support!

Andrew Millson's Youtube video showed us a brief overview of the incredible systems at Siskiyou Seeds. We are passionate about documenting the rest of the farm in great detail with hours of video, 3D models, maps, and photos, within a 360° virtual walkthrough.

We need the help of the permaculture community. Please consider pre-purchasing a ticket to tour Siskiyou Seeds, donating $1, or sharing our Kickstarter on social media. Thank you!

*POST UPDATE

We have decided to hold off on bringing on more community members until we are able to secure additional development rights for legally permitted structures on the farm. We will likely not have an update on this until 2024.

I would define a long-term collaborator as someone interested in co-developing a new intentional community with the goal of living here for several decades or more.

I have considered the possibility of developing an internship program here on the farm someday, but for now, we are not at that point. Mostly looking for long-term collaborators that want to help shape the vision here. Thank you for your input!

John,
It really is a great opportunity! This farm is a very special place with an incredible history. I feel lucky to have this opportunity to preserve the past and help build a bright future here.
