Hi all, I saw a cool concept the other day about using the heat from compost to power radiant floor heating for a small area. This cought my attention because if it does work I have a very small cabin (144 sq ft) it should work perfectly in. My favorite part is that apparently if you position the pile just below the level of the floor to be heated, the closed system would circulate itself with no pump.does anyone know if this is true and if so how does this work?

I haven't read it yet but I am looking forward to it. Thanks John for answering some questions for us this week.

It is steep enough to flip a tractor. Would it work to use a draught horse for this?

I have a steep hill that I want to have native grass growing on but the soil is so compacted that it won't take any seed or water. I feel like the solution is to either take a chisel plow or a keyline plow on contour to dig swals but i'm not sure how that can be accomplished on such a steep slope. Any thoughts?
