Just wanted to add my thanks for looking into this, Joseph! I hope that things have calmed down for Carol. Understandable that life goes sideways sometimes. I'll also hope to eventually have my order filled--I'd be thrilled to get to plant those seeds next spring.

Thanks, Sean! I really enjoy all the videos you post on youtube. Thanks for the obvious time and care that you put into them. We're setting up a chicken/compost system at the moment, and I suspect that my husband is sick of hearing "well the Edible Acres guy said..."

My check was cashed, but I never received anything (seeds, or responses to my many correspondences). So unfortunately I don't have any advice, but wanted to let you know you're not alone. Although I absolutely loved her book, I'd caution others against placing orders until there is some resolution to these issues.

My plan is to cover it with plastic for the winter so they have a warm, dry place to play.  I'm filling it with leaves (per Edible Acres) so when the add their little nuggets of goodness, it will compost over the winter and maybe give them some extra heat.  If I'm really lucky, it will be warm enough in the early spring to start some seedlings (on a chicken proof shelf).  

I would love to execute this exact plan! I hope you'll keep us posted. Right now we just have a small number of meat birds, so we won't be keeping them through this winter, but we plan to get some dual purpose birds next year. So many ideas, so little time.

Darren, welcome! What perennials are you working with so far? Always looking for suggestions of new additions... today I just heard of "caucausian mountain spinach" and I gotta say I'm intrigued (perennial vining spinach?!). Might have to get some of that to try out!

Chris, we are ramping up our poultry production but so far have 10 ducks (silver appleyards and black runners) and 8 meat chickens that should be at size in another month or so. We're going to get some dual purpose chickens in the spring, and then may start expanding the flock enough to provide some eggs and meat for friends, but not sure how much you're looking for. I'm interested to learn more about the BSFL production, though!

T Boon, I'm down in the southeast (near Ypsilanti), and I know there are others in the SW on this thread... not sure if anyone's closer to your location. What are you up to at your site?

Peter, I'd love to hear an update! Did you have a separate thread you started? If so, can you drop a link here? Excited to see what you've been up to on your property...

We're going to try to build a cattle panel greenhouse this fall. There are lots of videos of these on Youtube, but I really like the ones by Edible Acres (e.g.    ). Seems like it might suit your needs well!

Yes, this is how I placed my order back in January. I know it was received because my check was cashed (I believe in February), but then I never received the seeds. I emailed both addresses both pre- and post-April 31. I suppose I could write her a letter and maybe get them for next year's planting.

I loved this book, but I ordered nearly $100 worth of seeds from her this past spring and never received them. Sent several emails and have heard nothing--just wanted to warn others, because I was very disappointed. The book is a wonderful resource, though.
