Hello Fellow Permies! It's been a while since I've had something to say but I've been quietly reading on the sidelines. The days lengthen, sun returns, and warmth flirts with the local weather like the pair of cardinals in my pine tree. Once again my heart turns towards community, connection, growth, and forward movement. A few years ago I purchased 10 acres on a south-facing mountainside in Lake Lure, NC (near Asheville). It's gorgeous...utilities are to the property's edge already, perked, natural spring, stream, and with an unparalleled view. Oh how I dream of building there with like-minded people! For the present, I am near Annapolis, Maryland with my nesting partner and our kiddos. I am bisexual and polyamorous, and find myself pining for a partner aligned with my dreams of future homesteading/community. I'm equal parts dirty girl (as in dirt under my nails and bare feet in the garden) meets dirty girl (let your imagination run wild). For now, while still here in Maryland, it would be amazing to find someone who matches that energy, both dirty under the nails and behind closed doors.
We currently live on 1/3 an acre, have a backyard converted to garden space, a chicken coop with egg-layers, and I've just ordered meat chicks for spring. My current project is finishing the shed-to-tiny-home conversion I've been working on for the past couple of years. It's almost complete (just needs plumbing and a few finishing touches)! We have a 20-ft travel trailer on premises with a full kitchen, bath, queen bed, etc. It would be amazing to be able to provide that space to somebody who is aligned with the above thoughts, dreams, and desires. I'm a laid-back Pisces, passionate, always love a project to tackle, and I love to cook for lots of people. Where is my person?
