Bonnie, is there a particular brand or specification of BB gun that you'd recommend?  I know practically nothing about using a BB gun.

Would you provide us with an update on this?  What did you end up doing and how long/often did you do these things to treat the tinea versicolor?  Thanks.

Beside the topical application, I would add that ingesting certain herbs and foods is also crucial for skin care.  Plantain and mullein can be drunk as a tea.  Dandelion and burdock root can be eaten.  And don't forget to eat foods which have chicken skin, pig skin, connective tissues, bones, etc.

Hello, I'm also in San Jose and nice to see someone else here who also lives in the area.  The free wood chip site is definitely a great resource.  I got a HUGE pile of chips from them years ago and used it to line the walkways in the garden.
