I have moved children, and while they may groan, life for a family cannot revolve around her.
As for being fearful of Facebook, use it in a way it works for you.
I have nothing to do with conspiracy talk, just motorcycle racing, history and mates.
Facebook can do a lot of good.
As for blank profiles, list enough if you feel like so nobody confuses you for somebody living in South America!
An old photo it you must , limited personal details.
I think people who want to show nothing, cannot expect others to deal with them.
Its just he interaction you need.

Thank you for your input. You’re not wrong about the school system. (I failed to share this in efforts to not go on and on) but I actually share custody with my ex husband and he is very pro public school, anti homeschool/homestead, etc, (yay for me lol) or else I would definitely just rip the bandaid off after finding her some new friends outside of school. I think it’s still a possibility for us in the future though.

I have since added a few friends on FB and a few other things here and there so we’ll see if that helps :)

Hello Permies,

I am writing this with low expectations, yet still hopeful, that there may be some crunchy granola permie moms somewhere in North FL/South GA. All of my daughters friends are very “normal” (and no judgement to them or their parents) but I find it’s hard enough to de-program my kid from everything pushed onto people these days and go against the grain of the world, so the last thing I need is her friends influencing her or glorifying things I’ve worked really hard to keep her away from. We just bought land in the country and it would be too easy to just homeschool her, yet we are stuck having to keep her in her old school (in a city far away), because she doesn’t want to leave her friends at her school. I don’t want to deprive her of her friendships, so I would honestly be over the moon if I could find some kids for her to meet nearby or in surrounding areas and meet up with once or twice a month or so, so that she could see that 1. There are other people like us out there and 2. It is possible to have friends outside of the public school system (and maybe feel confident to ditch it so we can go about our homesteading life)

I’ve made a facebook for the sole purpose of joining some local-ish crunchy mom pages, but have been totally glossed over when I made a post about this, which I assume is because I have a suspiciously blank/anonymous profile (I don’t really do social media or photo posting online), and people don’t want to make play dates with faceless strangers. I get that. But if this is the case, does anyone have any advice on how they overcame this? I can’t be the only parent with this concern -  since the “norm” for most kids is everything that is so far from and the opposite of this holistic natural self-sufficient lifestyle we’re all here aiming for.

That last video was awesome, so glad you put the effort into those, they're all very well done and so inspiring!

Hope you're doing well and you're looking back at your time here with love, hope to see you soon. Stay in touch.

I miss you too dear friend. Your energy is unparalleled and I hope the Bootcamp program blossoms with more folks like yourself soon. I loved making the videos and showing people all the cool behind the scenes happenings and hard work at play there. Hope you all are doing amazing as well.

Well this isn’t really a BRK anymore but here is my final mini video from WL. I had to leave for reasons and hope to be able to return for an event or maybe even in the sepper program one day. Had a wonderful time, met some lovely folks and even lovelier animals . I hope to see animals integrate with WL in the future.

BRK Day 7:

Well today was a very low energy day for me. Included in that is my creative energy, so no video today. But here are a few snaps from the day.

Wow that’s cool, the news is spreading! Was it a permies person who posted it? Also, yes it’s been hot 🥵 there are these lovely well spickets here and there that you can get a blast of cool water which is a great remedy for that. The snow cone machine here works great for that also, ha ha.
