Well I made a nifty little video of a day at Wheaton s lab in 60 seconds but it won’t load. Oh well. Here’s some photos instead

Sadly, our forum software doesn't allow for the uploads of videos (which probably saves the moderators a lot of grief and work!). What I usually do is upload the video to youtube and then host it here. Since I don't care for youtube sending random people to my videos and dealing with their comments, I just make the video "unlisted." When it's unlisted, anyone with the link can watch it, and it embeds just fine here on permies inside the [youtube ] [/ youtube] tags, but you don't have to deal with other people around the world who might not be nice leaving comments on it.

I hope that helps! I look forward to seeing your adventures at Wheaton Labs!!!

Ah-ha! I figured out how to embed!

I took the string of numbers and letters and put them at the end of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

to get https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAPp9u0BhEo

and now I can put that in the happy brackets and get this!

I like the video. I did not know that there are goats at Wheaton Labs. What type of goats are there at the lab? Any fainting goats?

Holy glitchy pixels. The second video is sooo terribly pixelated. Looks so clear and crisp before going to YouTube/permies 😫 grr technology

Blankinship - No permanent goat residents sadly. Those guys were just visiting. Lots of animal lovers here though so hopefully in the future!

It looked great to me! It could be your internet was slow for a bit and defaulted to a lower resolution on the video when you watched it. This happens to me a lot on my slow satellite internet. If you click the little gear at the bottom right corner of the video, you can set the quality to higher. I watched it at 480dpi, and it was great!

I'm loving your videos!

And thank you I have to sprinkle some creativity in everything I do or I start to wilt ha ha

Posting day 3 now, going to look for this pesky space character. Third times a charm right..

BRK Day 4:

Woke up and did some apothecary stuff with the lovely Opalyn before heading off to the river. The plan was to go splash around during the day then head to a jazzy food spot to celebrate DEZ’S MILESTONE BIRTHDAY for dinner, but we had some turbulent speed bumps on the river and then had a missing-key incident that locked us into place for a bit and made us miss out on the celebration. Nonetheless, thankful for the time spent in the magnificent sunshine floating down the river.

SIDE NOTE: IF YOU HAVEN’T ALREADY, HEAD OVER TO DEZ’S THREAD AND WISH HIM THE HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY AS HIS ACTUAL BIRTHDAY IS TODAY!!!

Whoever keeps posting for me to stop shooting vertically: no.

I personally am not a fan of the "shorts" but they are intended to be shot in portrait orientation and be viewed on cell phones.  So thank you Briella for filling that niche in attracting that group to Permies. You could include see more at permies.com.

I hope there is cooler weather at the lab than in Kansas right now. It was over 100 F today and most of the past week. Also saw that one of your videos on facebook cool!

Wow that’s cool, the news is spreading! Was it a permies person who posted it? Also, yes it’s been hot 🥵 there are these lovely well spickets here and there that you can get a blast of cool water which is a great remedy for that. The snow cone machine here works great for that also, ha ha.

BRK Day 7:

Well today was a very low energy day for me. Included in that is my creative energy, so no video today. But here are a few snaps from the day.

My observation at national parks is that they will be friends [pests?] for peanuts.

Well this isn’t really a BRK anymore but here is my final mini video from WL. I had to leave for reasons and hope to be able to return for an event or maybe even in the sepper program one day. Had a wonderful time, met some lovely folks and even lovelier animals . I hope to see animals integrate with WL in the future.

I miss you too dear friend. Your energy is unparalleled and I hope the Bootcamp program blossoms with more folks like yourself soon. I loved making the videos and showing people all the cool behind the scenes happenings and hard work at play there. Hope you all are doing amazing as well.
