A friend was having problems with his electric to the barn and outbuildings. And he thought that some of the powerlines had loose connections from the breaker panel to the sub panel in the barn so I checked out the sub panel and Everything looked good.  I started at the barn and worked my way back to the breaker panel, checking each connection on the overhead power lines. At the barn a ground wire wasn’t making good contact. I cleaned the paint off of it and hooked it back up. At the house, the ground wire was frayed and the hot lines casings were cracked.  Arcing potential.  I replaced the lines from the breaker panel to the powerlines going out to the buildings.  I also found that the double 60 breaker was bad and replaced it.  I hooked everything up and it all worked the way it was supposed to.

I needed to fix a battery charger. The cord was ripped open by the charger. I opened it up and remove the soldered ends from the circuit board. Cut and re-soldered the cord to the circuit board. Double checked that the current was flowing the correct direction and put it back together.

To the person that approved my submission, thank you. Are the points you awarded for electrical or plumbing?

My dad wanted the fence around his yard to be removed except for two posts for his bluebird houses. The majority of the post and rails were not salvageable and used for firewood. The rest of the fence was stored for future use. I removed over 200 feet of fence from the brick smokehouse to the grapevines.

Here’s my submission for making four different soups. I didn’t write down a recipe for any of them. I just throw stuff together and season to taste. All were cooked with a 6 quart pot to show they meet the 1/2 gallon requirement.
Yogurt recipe
Half a gallon of milk
Half a cup of live and active cultures yogurt
Heat the milk to 116° stir in the yogurt and put it in a hay box for 12 hours

Soft farmers cheese recipe
Half a gallon of milk
Quarter cup of vinegar
Some salt
Hit the milk till it starts to boil. turn off the heat. Slowly stir in the vinegar. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Strain through a cheese cloth. Mix in the salt or other flavors. Squeeze out the rest of the whey and put it on a plate. Add some weight on top and stick it in the fridge for an hour or more. Then remove the cheese cloth.
