I am finding out that having money and transportation seems to be REQUIRED, and then being successful and peppy and outgoing apparently also helps a ton, but I would have no way to verify any of these claims because I am bereft of both the finances and the personality, to where it's all just wild speculation on my part. Thoughts? lol

I have always fought those dang things, and house flies, too. Then I learned about them... after finding maggots crawling out of the bin, and going every which way. DUH!

Funny, though, just recently, I unintentionally bred a shit ton of fruit flies, and I made 2 under par traps. The problem got worse! So I then took the jar of pickle juice I had sitting nearby, and made a proper trap. Worked within hours. Pickle juice.

I was indeed thinking of printed literature, as well as personally held knowledge, where the crux of my "plea" is that of something we must be, at the very least, thinking about. Good to know there are folks actually there already. That, and establishing MORE projects, to be there to teach those who are receptive to it, through hands on education.

and with everyone who uses this site. I do hope y'all are backing this stuff up "in triplicate", and then some. And not just digital. Regardless of what you intend to do with the knowledge. I believe "bad times" are coming, and we are going to need ALL the knowledge of how to navigate the strangeness and confusion that will no doubt come with this, and how to survive well into the future.

I have been trying to convince a kind soul/souls to help me get back on my feet. I have found myself with... ZERO... zilch... zip... of anything tangible, of anything of worth. All I have is a one way ticket to wherever I wish to go. All I will be bringing is my body, my mind, and some clothes and other "stuff" (3 suitcase full of things I'd rather not part with)

I am 53, able bodied, and passionate AND knowledgeable about permaculture, and plants/farming/gardening/landscaping in general. I would like to put these strengths to use, as opposed to languishing in a place that does not, will not, allow for those practices to be partaken with (HOA hell)
