Hello, I am a little lost as to why a master pollinator appeared to support me regarding a pollinator who appeared to be “ slamming “ my post. ( His words not mine. )
After which I received a message stating that my post was deleted. If I violated a standard I was not aware of I apologize but am unsure as to how one moment there was support and the next I am sent a message that my post was unacceptable. When I reviewed the post I saw that the master pollinator had deleted his response and in the email sent to me  a link was sent about bossiness.

Again , I understand that I am new, and that leadership has the right to remove the post if it doesn’t meet standards. But I am lost as to what happened here.

I also agree that the pollinator had the right to post his opinion but would have preferred that he had sent me a message rather than question the motivation of my post publicly. My response was an attempt to explain my motivation in posting it.

Lost…
Since I asked for the stories of others I thought it might be good to share a little of mine as well. Low income single mother to 4,  former youth  pastor to street / homeless children, counselor to group home teens , in home literacy  coach for low income second language learners, Special Ed teacher, published environmental advocate among other advocacies such as for those without homes, those with special needs …

I could go on … but who wants more of that lol? Just trying to say this post meant no harm and was only born out of curiosity and  community building hope.

Additionally… while I am duly impressed with traditional offgridding I also believe that there are untapped challenges and responsibilities for urban and suburban permies.
Since I fall into the latter category I had hoped to hear stories from the former.

Being very new to this site I am starting to wonder if my question is controversial and triggering to some.

I meant no harm.

Blessings:)

Absolutely agree! And thank you for referencing the homeless! The spirit of this post was not to enhance competition or say that those of us off grid didn’t count or to be ambiguous. Just an innocent question posed to those who consider themselves off grid.
Sounds like maybe you consider your endeavors to be off grid so thank you for sharing your story:)

I just read that one study reports that there are 280,000 offgridders in the US alone. Astounding!
Who are you ? Where are you from? What are you doing?

As a suburban Fresno- ite I salute you!

You are amazing!

I wasn’t sure where to put this so I guess this is as good as any.

As a person without much money to spend on educating herself as to permaculture I have found this site to be absolutely loaded with FREE information, educational resources, and student initiated homework via earning bbs that I am astounded.

Big big thank yous to you Paul and all those who so generously give of themselves to answer questions, explain “ assignments” and provide feedback via certifying bb completion all without asking for a penny! Even public teachers are paid to instruct and here so many offerings are absolutely free!

What an awesome service you all are doing!!
