The website looks good. Christopher has asked some good questions.

I'm a bit shy to admit how fun this sounds. Especially the convergence weekend. It's coming in hot though and I suspect I will be too busy but hopefully the website can be used next year and just plunk in the new details where needed.

Just in case one finds the time at the last minute to show up, any idea if cash will be accepted for ticket prices in person?

I'm glad to see this happening. It's helping me want to be somewhat social. I tend to avoid other humans as much as possible. Thanks to the volunteers and hosts.

A belt sander or similar with aggressive paper could work well. Bonus if there's a dust collector for the paint too.

I think it's always a good idea to go looking after any disturbances.

If going specifically to look for rocks, I like to remember to bring some sort of "picker" that I can reach into the water with a ways. Basically just a pole with a small basket or cup attached to the end. It's nice if it's designed so that the water drains out. It's fun to make one of these and see how it works and tweak it to work better if needed.

My apologies to staff

One rule. It's not that hard. Shame on me.
The narrow leaf ones could possibly be swamp milkweed.

There's another that grows in shadier woods here called poke milkweed.

We plant them on tall (8') tip-style structures, usually 6 poles at least, and 3 plants per pole. If you keep harvesting the young beans, the plants will keep flowering until a hard frost.

Indeed. The hummingbirds get territorial and chase each other around mine. I have to plant scarlet runner beans in different areas so they can all get some.

They also like cardinal flower alot in my yard.

*edited to add that one bonus of the scarlet runner beans is that the monarch butterflies really enjoy the nectar too and the flowers last until a hard frost. Hopefully that's helpful for their migration.
