I use equinox ones here at the house.  They have a screw on them to keep them tight which i find helpful as a lefty using universal scissors, but otherwise the cheapo ULG brand works really well too.  I also keep a pair of rounded tip scissors for cutting around ears and cutting kids.  They are smaller and take longer, but no kiddo trying fighting to sit still has ever been poked with the pointy end.

I gave up on FB when the tech bros started talking about our collective AI future and that they’d be  looking at all your personal photos and computer content whether you consented or not.  No thanks.

I’ve got an account on a small federated social media site to talk to fellow craft/art hobbyists and other rock dorks, but it’s slow social media and I’m lucky if I’m on there once a week.  Heck, i’m lucky if I’m on here once a week.  I’ve got too much real life stuff to do to waste my time on popular social media platforms listening to my friends argue over whether target is woke or not woke enough.  I tell people to just stop by if they want to chat.

If you want just a good ol’ fashioned heatpump for vents you can’t go wrong goodman, at least from an old reliable standpoint.  Not the most efficient i find, but reliable, cheaper than the ones with their names branded on the side, and easy to get parts for.

If you are looking for the HE ones the research has been a bit of a tossup between how handy you are and vs how much of a dumb version you want.  We ended up with the AQI extreme temp line and are diy-ing it as the tools needed to connect yourself are about $150ish and can be used for flaring lines in vehicles we fix.   If i was not so handy or confident, take a look at Mr Cool brand as they are the easiest to diy if you aren’t comfortable drawing down vacuum lines or flaring lines.

We got our from hvacdirect dot com but i can’t say if they were the absolute cheapest, I just gave up shopping around.

We have used the sides of an old discarded stove to make bumper plates on the inside of our shed doors to protect the doors from hits from our tractor or other object as we back out.  Those panels can take a beating!

The bonus of this is as we collect more discard appliances  line the bottom part of the inside of the shed we’re getting all sort of useful storage space between beams for storing tools, poles, and whatever other thing we can slide in there.
