Paul, hope this is the correct forum for this and we have not stepped on any rules..

We are in the process of launching a large, US based company based upon regenerative agriculture and humane animal husbandry practices. We are seeking a motivated, creative and entrepreneurial CPA that can assist in the financial side of the business.

About the project
The project aims to redefine the farming landscape and transform it into something new. This systems draws upon both ancient and modern farming practices and incorporates farming types such as dehesa and permaculture. The system focuses on free range animal husbandry combined with perennial and tree polycultures. Many here that are familiar with permaculture will find many overlays in both principals and ethics with this new farming system.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a licensed accountant and/or CPA that can assist with the fiscal review aspects of the project. This person must have an entrepreneurial attitude, good communication skills and must share many of the same beliefs around the current state of agriculture and where there are options for something different going forward in the future.

Please feel free to send me a PM on here and I would be happy to provide more information and details.

I am not sure if anyone else is building IBC tote water harvesting systems this year, but I made a video of my recently built setup if anyone might be interested. I tried to keep to a very simple parts list that was available at either home depot or menard. The design also had to accommodate the need for high flow since it is dumping into a multi level swale system. I also wanted to build a water can filling faucet by the tanks. If anyone have any interest in building something like this I would be happy to write up the parts list and build plans and post them for all in order to save time on staring into pvc tube boxes.

I was excited when I got a homemade ornament. I was even more exited when I realized that it was all about the hugelkultur... Cool!

Chicagoland permaculture meetup group held a rocket mass stove build at my place in Woodstock, IL this past weekend.  This is a time lapse that Milton did a great job putting together.  Fun was had by all!

I have also really been interested in making a large hugelkultur bed where a portion of my property slopes off.  This was a lot more work then I thought it would be and I still need to add another layer of wood, manure and compost to get it up to the 6ft that I want it at.  I do think that after this is complete it will be a great system for retaining water during those long hot days of summer and provide another form of water catchment and retention.

Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions for improvements.

A-frame that helped me find my contours.

I cut the bed about 8 inches down along the contour line that I marked with the a-frame and started to pile large logs in the bed.

I was amazed to find such nice rich soil with virtually no rocks!  I will save this for the top growing layer of the hugelbed.

Hugelbed filled with large wood pieces and covered with the grass that I scalped off the ground before I began digging the bed.

Look at the great life on this log.

Stacking smaller trees and branches on top of the large logs and green matter.

Here it is after adding the first layer of manure.  I realized that I wan this much bigger so I am going to be adding another layer of wood and manure to get this up to around 6 foot.  Hopefully with this size it will really cut down on watering in the hot summer in the years to come.
