Anybody in Oregon, Washington, California (or elsewhere) being impacted by this bug? Trying any control techniques? Any information of what the predators are? Wild blackberries are likely a major overwinter reservoir for them.
This is a new pest that doesn't prefer to wait till the fruit is over-ripe like other fruit flies seem to, so this is especially of concern for people marketing their fruit.
As for me, good thing I'm not a vegetarian.  But they're definitely not my preferred form of protein.
