Hello, this would be my introductory post here - I'll break right in with a helpful presentation video that we just generated over at Global Earth Repair Conference. The conference had several permaculture and regen-ag people as well as journalists, climatologists, biogeochemists, philosophers, indigenous leaders, and so on. Brian Kerkvliet had one of the most informative presentations, chock full of helpful practical hints for folks to start doing this stuff right away. It has a lot of carbon farming in it but I posted in rainwater collection because water harvest is a critical part of this - even where it comes to terracing, keylines, swales and huguls. Please if this should go somewhere else as well, some of you more experienced please show this n00b where to put it in here. In the meantime, I'll say again that most of this has to do with designing your earthworks and land features on contour, paying close attention to the water - the farm design should flow as the water does, obviously, as possibly the most important consideration in planning. All of this I'm sure is preaching to the choir, but I have to write something here right? Anyway, without further ado, please enjoy this video:
