About ten months ago, a gardener and permaculture farmer I follow on Facebook named Aaron Thatcher set up a fundraiser on Facebook to purchase some land nearby his house to establish a permaculture food forest (https://www.gofundme.com/f/a-food-forest-park-and-conservarion?fbclid=IwAR3v4lp_OZSD28kfxnveknahxtUPt9I7rNDoTgXZfAy1ew7QjvuUXaunw5Q).
Unfortunately, it does not look like the project has gotten any funding yet. I'm not very good at promoting fundraisers, but the location is in Rogersville in Eastern Tennessee.

This post might also be an opportunity to discuss how to set up a cooperative permaculture farm for this location and determine how it would work out. If I were to move there to help set up the food forest, I would prefer a cooperative farm model to reduce the risks associated with farming alone.
