The post about squerils harvesting nuts made me think of an idea that I have been wondering about for a while
The Capiche Beatle in Mexico it's bad luck to kill the Capiche. They harvest the dry beans in boroughs, about 2 pounds in each hole. I think that if one were to place small containers under the ground and somehow promote the growth of more Capiche then the harvest could be done by little bugs. It may not be too efective but I would like to try it one day just to see.
Diversified Food forest maker . Fill every niche and you'll have less weeds (the weeds are the crop too). Fruit, greens, wild harvest, and nuts as staple. Food processing and preservation are key to self self-sufficiency. Never eat a plant without posetive identification and/or consulting an expert.
