Hello, we are a young couple relocating to the area  this summer to begin new careers - Ren at the Montessori school in Albany and Tyler with permacultute/landscaping/restoration work. We are both calm 29 yr olds and have a calm indoor/outdoor cat.

We are seeking a small house/cabin for the next few years, or a great place for a few months this Fall while we find "the" place. Ideally close to Albany for work, but a few miles out with some peace and quiet.  Tyler is quite handy to have around a rural property, and would love to work with you and your property for a reasonable work-trade situation. Experience caretaking several homesites in the PNW, including landscaping, basic maintenance off-grid utilties, and especially creating new food gardens and maintaining existing ones!
Even an older house needing some TLC could be great.

We have savings and can pay rent, up to about $1000/ month along with whatever initial security, first/last month costs. Good references available. Would also prefer a work-trade scenario as mentioned above.

Thanks so much and please e-mail me at silveroaksavannahs@gmail.com

Welcome to the Willamette Valley!

Albany is out of my local circle, but I think you're onto something.  You might find some traction with oregonfarmlink.org.  I get lots of people there looking for a place to stay, and if you were in my area I'd be interested in seeing what situation we could arrange.
