Hi everyone,

I'm right at the start of designing my new garden (more info here: https://mygardenfromscratch.weebly.com/). I will be growing some food but also want to think about what wildlife could realistically visit/live in my garden (so that I can choose plants for the right wildlife). I've attached a plan of the garden, but more info' on my website. So far, I'm thinking about birds, pollinators and amphibians. I intend to have a small pond, but I would need to introduce amphibians because it's unlikely that they would find their way to the garden (the row of gardens on my street is surrounded by roads). There are quite a few cats on this street, does that make it difficult/impossible to have amphibians? I think I read somewhere that cats are too good at catching them, so it's pointless even trying to provide a home for amphibians. If there are any strategies for increasing the survival chances of the amphibians and stopping the cats (apart from killing the cats!), I'd be willing to consider them.

Thanks!
