Sustainable Vocations is a pioneering program for young people (ages 15 – 24) that integrates permaculture, leadership, nature awareness and community regeneration, while simultaneously providing green vocational inspiration and preparation. In the process, students earn an internationally recognized Permaculture Design Certification and graduate with the practical skills to enhance their employment opportunities and life path – all while creating a more sustainable future for us all.

This Summer 2012 offering is particularly exciting, as two pioneers of the sustainability movement have joined our staff as teachers and mentors. Brad Lancaster, one of the world’s foremost experts on water harvesting, and Owen Dell, an award-winning and internationally respected landscape architect, will provide an additional program layer and complement an already dynamic teaching team.

Sustainable Vocations is next scheduled for July 25th to August 11th, 2012 and will be held at Quail Springs Permaculture Oasis. There are spaces still left so please let interested youth know they should get their applications in as soon as possible!
