Still in the "getting started" phase, hoping to meet local friends.  Still trying to get property rehabbed to work for me, a lot more work than I expected.  So far my decision to move to KY has been one big disappointment after another.  Been here almost a year, still don't know anyone, pandemic did not help matters.

Would love to find a partner for this homesteading journey I am trying to start.
***Updating since I really did a terrible intro -
I have almost 20 acres, about half wooded, imagine overgrown jungle.  3 pastures that are overgrown and soil needs serious help.
Wanting to do food forest, once I have some of the overgrowth cleared, chickens, rabbits, pigs, milk cow and calf, and possible goats or sheep.  Hoping to be able to grow/raise enough to sell at farmers market, and make products to sell such as soaps, candles, cheese, wine, herbal remedies, and anything else I can come up with.
The entire idea behind this, was when society continues down this crazy path of destruction it is currently on, and only the people with land and knowledge could eat/thrive, my family would be one of those.  We currently have 2 trailers for 11 people,  including my kids and grandkids.

Ideally, I am looking for someone that would want the homesteading/self sufficient lifestyle, and be willing to help get the property to that goal.   Now I have had people say previously that I am asking someone to put in work on something they would never own, and there are ways around that, but I understand the concern.  There would be some type of agreement put into place, and I would not do that to someone.  I am tired of being alone, and want to find someone to spend the rest of my life with that I have things in common with.  With that being said, the goal, if I find someone, would be adding a 3rd residence that would be "ours".

Also looking for friends/community.

Hi there! Nice to hear your trying to get stuff going. We seem to be on the same page. Iā€™m 50 and live in western Nc. It says we are only 166 miles away from each other. If you would want to talk further and see where it goes, my email is mildot762@yahoo.com.
