Hammock in cob house

Hi guys , your forum is so cool - this is my first post -

I am currently planning a cob house build and was wondering if it would be possible to suspent a hammock from cob walls
- i was think of having thick weld mesh imbeded in the wall and the hooks for the hammock would be welded on to the mesh

has anyone else heard about the benifits of sleep in a hammock ?

Why bother with that? Put in deadmen and some hooks. You'll be just fine.

yeah deadmen sound good , but are you sure it would be strong enough - id be sleeping in the hammock -

what do you think about having a few boards of wood with deadmen on them then attaching the hammock hook to the middle of the board
the board would be compleatly embeded in the cob wall

That would work too. Just the dead men will be very sturdy though. Use a larger one if you are worried about it. I would imagine it could hold upwards of 500lbs. Or embed rafters, hang the hammock from the rafters.

the hammock will be part of a loft and the rafter idea is great ,
otherwise the deadmen sound good ,

im working out permits and stuff now , but latter on ill upload some pictures
