I recently restored this scythe snath (handle) and slapped a similarly restored blade on it. The snath (handle) is of unknown manufacture but bore a label reading "Success" and is of fine quality. The wooden components were sanded and painted, and the iron and steel hardware wire brushed and given a clear lacquer coat. The blade is a True Temper weed blade with a "Dutch" heel. The tang has been bent to adjust the lay of the blade to its proper inclination.
