I am in southern California, I consider myself stuck here, unless there are any I will still join with on land, which I am not getting myself, to work together growing all that can be for a self-sufficient community there and harvesting it there. I am just getting older, I should have already started doing this and so would need to start at it soon to do it at all. I consider it an essential way to live. So being in southern California does not determine a permie way of life can work but I am here seeking how it can happen that I would move to where I would be involved where it does happen, and it would be away from cities, instead of here where I am.

hello all, my name is James Vasquez and I am a local permie in this region. (909)
I guess you can consider me a urban permacultulist  since I live in the city of ontario CA.
I do not own any large plots of land but do grow and use my city to stack as many permie functions I can.
I would love to learn, teach and partake in building a urban community connected to our rural permie tribes were we can connect and build hyper local small urban economies using permaculture techniques.
Please lets connect , link up and brainstorm on possibilities, I believe we are in a good zone economically to at the very least sustain, yet alone be regenerative in all inputs and outputs we choose to capitalize.

I have been involved in grass root startups: designing  and building urban home and school gardens, held lectures on regenerative design along with many traditional specialized farming practices, assisting with a few local small CSA farms, then moved into a more demanding career in solar.

I am currently a technical engineer in photovoltaics(solar), i have been building solar and battery (energy storage systems) all over southern California for over 7 years and would really like to share my expertise designing, operating, maintaining and experience building solar ESSystems to my permaculture tribe.
Please do not hesitate to connect with me so we can network and reconnect our fellow Californians back into nature threw small regenerative designed businesses and honest land stewardship.

ps.
im new here so bare with me on not being sure if its best for people to DM me or ?, any guidance and or direction would be appreciated.
this was the only socal chat ive seen so sorry for a long introduction, just exited for the new year!
thanks
JV

Hi,

I'm Greg.  I'm on the central coast of California and trying to get to my home in this style of living.
