This concerns me, although less than scientists trying to convey the rampant growth characteristics of corn to rice and wheat crops. The main potential problem is the same, though: what happens to human health as a whole if we adulterate the nutritional quality of the food we consume to speed caloric production? What if this true empty calorie search is the cause of our diseases of affluence?

I like making trees into starch by growing potatoes in my first-year hugelbeets.
