this study has lots of interesting implications.
would smaller cell sizes reduce stomata sizes, making plants more drought tolerant?
would plants next to hot springs always be more tolerant of salt laden soils (obviously), would the seed ?
would drenching plants with HS allow them to grow better in high iron soils, like our SW deserts redrock sandstones ?
It appears to work on all plants, i wonder if
trees sprouted on HS would be more pest resistant. Since HS is toxic on small cell scales, if plants uptake it, and not just use it to process, it might make blight and virus proof trees.
