Hello everyone! While I would welcome a romantic connection and a potential partnership with someone special, I'm really just seeking friendship with like minded folks.
I find myself on this path, where I want to break from my urban life and get back to the earth. Maybe you can relate? I have this whole plan where I left Los Angeles to stay with family elsewhere in Southern California, where I've taken over the backyard to build a garden. It's kind of a practice garden, I'm growing everything I can find (and it's doing great!). Here my costs are low and I can work and save money, learn about gardening on my own, and take off to travel and visit homesteads, organic farms, intentional communities, etc. I plan on going on a 2-3 week trip in June to the Pacific Northwest, and I'm looking for places I can visit for a few days at a time. I can camp out, and help with your garden or whatever, I want to learn and make connections with like minded folks. I would be interested in finding places to visit this summer anywhere around the west coast or reasonable adventuring distance from California actually. I plan on seeing my garden through to the Fall at least, and to work here through the winter saving money. But then next Spring I would like to do longer visits, or some kind of work exchange for possibly the whole growing season. Or I may be interested in joining a community somewhere, if we happen to hit it off, though right now I'm just interested in visiting. But I have it in my mind to eventually buy land and start a homestead/community, after a few years of learning and experiencing. Anyway, if you can relate to my dream at all I would love to correspond!
