Hello!

I am looking to co-purchase land on Vancouver Island with one or more people.

I'm interested in starting (or possibly purchasing into) a permaculture community, to work towards having gardens, rain water harvesting, chickens, grey water recycling and composting toilets. I am also interested in living in community, meaning sharing in cooking, in meals and work on the land.

Possible options include:

• buying land with a conventional house on it that has zoning for another single family dwelling as well as accessory buildings. I would live in my 'Tiny House' that is currently being built.

• buying land and putting our own Tiny Houses or regular houses on it. (A possible Tiny House Ecovillage! But I love cob and natural buildings as well).

I would like to host guests and volunteers in the summer.

The following are a few properties that could be split by 3 or 4 parties: http://tiny.cc/h78nxw - a perfect property for a tiny house eco-village in Coombs, already set up (and zoned) with electricity and water for 4 tiny homes + one house! (Though I feel it is over priced at the moment).

These two properties, the first, http://tiny.cc/f68nxw in Qualicum (with a house, small farm, chickencoop, barn, etc!) and the second, http://tiny.cc/c88nxw in the Port Alberni Area, (80 acres and a house!!), would both work really well. I am open to other options on Vancouver Island, these are just some examples of properties on the market right now. My preference would be for land that is already organic and has not had any chemicals applied to it in the recent past.

A bit about me, I have a background in International Development and Anthropology and have worked on poverty reduction projects both here and abroad. I have lived and volunteered at permaculture sites and love the community life and permaculture lifestyle. I write a blog about living a chemical-free life: http://mychemicalfreehouse.blogspot.ca

There are no more "hours", it's centi-days. They say it's better, but this tiny ad says it's stupid:
grow your own garden and build your own home in the gardening gardeners program
