Dear Mr. Savory,

I have 2.25 acres in such an area as described by my "subject". I have a garden using the city water (very expensive). If I borrow a neighbor's horse or find a couple of roping steers and enclose them somehow in an everchanging spot in my yard, will I start the healing process? What else could I do? Right now I am manuring my yard with my neighbor's horse manure but I don't have the animal hooves to do any tilling and no animals for urine. Thank you SO much! I am so encouraged by your work.

Hi Mary,

I don't mean to butt in here, but your subject line sounds like where I used to live -- Las Vegas. If you are looking for seeds for appropriate things to plant, you might try the Desert Legume Project that is associated with the University of Arizona. They have an extensive seed bank and you can ask them to send you samples.
