Smell of dead nettle tincture

I'm pretty new to tincture making, but ive made a few different ones so far, most of which smell basically like vodka with a little earthiness mixed in. I made a purple dead nettle tincture and it smells and tastes kind of like olives. Is that normal? I know when i make tea with dried purple dead bettle it tastes nothing like olives.
