My boyfriend started some seeds but didn't label anything so now I don't know what growing in my window boxes. I'm a little embarrassed because it clearly came from a seed packet but it's also obviously something I haven't grown before because I have no idea what it is. Any ideas?

It looks to me like lamb's quarters. It also looks like you used soil from outside - if that's so, the seeds were probably already there when you used it for the seeds.

Same family then amaranth and lamb quarters, most likely red orach. Should be even easier to identify when it flowers...

Looks like a lambsquarters to me. Maybe even the magenta variety!
