I set up three grow beds running off of solar power at our homestead. They're really a testbed, a way for me to make sure I understand the principles of aquaponics before I invest.

Well, someone came by and ripped all the wires off the batteries and the solar controller. Talk about frustrating. I wish I had mounted a wildlife cam or something nearby.

To make matters worse, I'm out of state on a contract. My wife was able to get things running with/despite my emails and poorly drawn diagrams.

Lessons from this: 1. Protect your goodies. 2. I have an awesome wife! I knew that already, but she keeps demonstrating it!
