Hello all! I began laying out my swale/hugels today. As I continue, I keep thinking about what is going to be planted where. I plan on planting everything on it. I have found many resources for the construction of, but not much on the actual planting. What I have gathered so far is: plant my trees on the downhill side more toward the bottom of the mound and I'm guessing plant all my greens and such on the uphill side. Other than that I have nothing. Any suggestions? Just for FYI, I am in central Indiana and my slope faces south. Thanks a bunch!

I am mighty! And this is a mighty small ad:
